What if I am being asked for a verification code and I do not have one?
If you are getting a request for a verification code it means that a Stripe account has already been set up with that email address.
Stripe is sending a verification code to the cell phone number set up for notifications on file with Stripe for that account.
That phone number would get a pin from Stripe (usually a 6-digit one), the text should say it is from Stripe in the body of the text but it may not be obvious that it is from Stripe until you click into it.
This article from Stripe goes over how to recover your account if the phone number has changes associated with the verification process Stripe Support: Trouble signing in.
