What is the Difference between Custom Alerts and User Settings Notifications?

It is possible to receive two different types of alerts from the ItsaCheckmate Portal.  They are:

1. Custom Alerts
2. Notifications 

CUSTOM ALERTS

What are they?

Customized alerts monitor your locations/ordering platform menus for anomalies and notify you of these anomalies.

They allow you to be alerted about revenue fluctuations by location or ordering platform, whether your stores are marked as offline or certain items are marked indefinitely out of stock, and if changes have been made to your menu but not updated (pushed) to the ordering platforms.  

Where can I add/edit these alerts?

These alerts are set within the ItsaCheckmate Insights section of the ItsaCheckmate Portal.

When would I receive these Alerts?

These Alerts are generated and sent to your email/phone on a daily basis at 8 am CST.  They are NOT real-time.

NOTIFICATIONS

What are they?

Real-time notifications for whenever any location is turned offline within the ItsaCheckmate Portal or whenever a specific Ordering Platform is turned offline either by the 3rd party platforms themselves or by an individual user within the ItsaCheckmate Portal.

Where can I set these notifications?

These notifications are set under Preferences in the User Settings of your user profile within the ItsaCheckmate Portal.

When would I receive notifications?

These notifications are sent in real-time whenever an update has been made to a location or ordering platform online/offline status.

EXAMPLE:

You have a notification set in User Settings to alert you whenever a location is marked offline.  You also have the following Custom Alert set up to inform you if a store is marked offline indefinitely for 3 consecutive days:

Using the example above,  you would receive a real-time notification AS SOON AS the location is marked offline. If the location were to REMAIN offline indefinitely, you would receive a custom alert at 8 am CST on the THIRD DAY of it being marked offline.
