Completing Toast POS Authentication & Authorization Step

In Step 3: POS Authentication & Authorization of the Onboarding Process, you will need to authorize the Toast/ItsaCheckmate integration in order to connect your Toast POS to our system.

Once you have logged into the Onboarding Portal and accessed your location tasks for the correct location, follow these steps:

1. In the Onboarding Task List > Step 3: POS Authentication & Authorization, you will be prompted to begin the authorization process by selecting Start Now

   

2. A new tab will open with the Toast website where you will be prompted to login > Enter your Toast login credentials

   

3. You will be taken to the My Integrations page > Select the Settings icon next to Checkmate.

4. Once you click on Settings, you will be prompted for a Group ID and Location ID

   

5. Go back to the ItsaCheckmate Portal, find and copy your Group ID that is visible in the POS Authentication and Authorization Step

   

6. Return to the Toast site and paste the Group ID in the Group ID field next to your location in the pop-up window

7. Repeat Steps 4 & 5 for the Location ID 

   
8. Once you have added both the Group and Location IDs, select Apply

9. A confirmation message - “Restaurant IDs updated for Checkmate” - will appear at the bottom of the screen

   

10. Return to the ItsaCheckmate Portal and select ‘Click once authorization has been completed on Toast’

    

11. An informational message will appear:

    

12. Once the integration step has been successfully completed, you will see Step 3 checked off and marked as Complete

    

13. The location will automatically advance to Step 4: Location Setup which will be completed by the ItsaCheckmate Team. You will be provided location updates along the way.

 

 

NOTE:  While completing the Onboarding Form during the Location Setup step you should have already added the ItsaCheckmate integration in your Toast back end and provided ItsaCheckmate Toast menu access.  If you have not done so, please follow the instructions HERE.
